Following the “Tiger” Trail: Analysis of Social Change Trajectories in South Korea

Abstract

The article examines the recent transformation tendencies in South Korea’s economy, politics, culture, social structure. It is demonstrated that newest processes of virtualization and rise of glam-capitalism in South Korea could not be interpreted correctly when only modernization theory is taken.
