Abstract

The paper analyzes the impact of armed conflict on the functioning of social institutions and social practices of the inhabitants of the Dubovskaya settlement (Shelkovskoy district, Chechen Republic). The authors argue that the crisis and armed conflict brought about the strengthening of traditionalist elements of family life and everyday behavior, weakening of solidarity bonds among residents of the village, destruction of the former system of local selfgovernment and extinction of the old forms of organized population mobility.
