Abstract

This article is driven by P. Sorokin’s social and cultural approach allowing the authors to distinguish various socio-cultural types of youth. They compare their life plans and the degree of adaptation to the conditions of the transformation of Russian society. The authors identify the factors that contribute to the formation of collectivist and individualist, proactive and reactive personality types. The conclusions are based on sociological and social-psychological research in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
