Abstract

The article is devoted to the work of the Laboratory of collective reflexology at Vladimir Bekhterev Institute for brain and mental activity. The Laboratory as a unique research center did not become the subject of a special study. The analysis of archival materials and periodicals showed that the program of research conducted by the staff of the laboratory (Agnessa Zvonickaya, Pitirim Sorokin, Mikhail Lange) was based on Vladimir Bekhterev’s reflexology approach. The author presents the results of experimental research in the Laboratory (the study of professional groups reflexology, the impact of famine and war to the structure and mood of the society), and makes the conclusion about its relevance and urgency in the 1920s.
