Форум по проблемам цивилизаций в Бухаресте
In early fall (September 2–4) the Dimitirie Cantemir Christian University, Bucharest, hosted the 50th conference of the International Society for the Comparative Study of Civilizations. The title of the conference was aptly reflective of this moment in history: “Civilization at a Crossroads”, and the theme of anxiety for the future of culture and humanity as a whole was a recurring theme in the presentations. The most significant, apparently, was the decision to hold the First World Congress on the Comparative Study of Civilizations at Kantemir University in July 2023. It will be organized by the International Society for the Comparative Study of Civilizations in cooperation with the Asian Politics and History Association. These two organizations have also agreed to create a think tank that will develop and disseminate the ideas of “wise civilization”.
