Abstract

The article explores the foundation of M. Kovalevsky Russian Sociological Society and traces the first two years of its existence, when the chairman of the Society was an academician A. Lappo-Danilevsky. On the basis of A. LappoDanilevsky’s archive the author investigates the programs of the first public meetings and correspondence between the society’s chairman and the members of its presidium.
